Privacy Policy
Effective June 10, 2026
This policy describes how SignaTrain collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or subscribe to our programs. It does not cover the separate privacy practices of Greenwald Doherty LLP’s legal services.
What Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: directly from you, automatically when you use our site, and from your organization when it enrolls you in training.
Contact & Account Information
Name, position or title, work email address, phone number, company name, and any message you send us through our forms.
Subscription & Participation Records
Session registrations, attendance, and recertification credit eligibility (SHRM and HRCI) connected to your account.
Payment Information
Collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers — we receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your card for receipt purposes.
Device & Site Usage Information
IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, referral source, and error logs — used to keep the site working and to understand how it is used.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information for legitimate business purposes: to deliver and administer your subscription, send single-use access codes and scheduling information, process SHRM and HRCI recertification credits, respond to your inquiries, and improve our programs and website.
We also use it to meet our contractual obligations to you (creating and maintaining your account), to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, to detect and prevent fraud and security incidents, and — where the law requires it — with your consent.
We do not collect or use sensitive personal information except as needed to deliver the services you expect, detect security incidents, and resist fraudulent or malicious activity.
Sources of Your Information
Directly from you
When you fill out a form, create an account, register for a session, or correspond with us.
Automatically
Through browser cookies and similar tools when you use our site.
From your organization
When your employer enrolls you in a company cohort or an HR team subscription.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-contextual behavioral advertising.
We share information with service providers who help us operate — payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, session hosting, and analytics — and only for the purposes described in this policy.
We may also share it with our affiliated firm, Greenwald Doherty LLP, in connection with delivering attorney-led programming.
We may disclose information when required by a court order or governmental request, to enforce our Terms of Use, to protect the safety, security, and property of our users and our business, or in connection with a reorganization, merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets.
Cookies & Tracking Tools
We use a small set of cookies: strictly necessary cookies that make the site work, authentication cookies that confirm you are signed in to member areas, security cookies that help detect suspicious activity, and analytics cookies that show us which pages and services are used most.
You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings; disabling them may restrict site features. The choices you make are browser- and device-specific.
Like most websites, we do not change our practices in response to a browser “Do Not Track” signal.
Where We Store Information & How Long We Keep It
Your information is stored in the United States. We keep it as long as necessary to accomplish the purpose for which it was collected — generally, for as long as your subscription is active — and longer where the information is relevant to a legal proceeding or retention is required by law. After that, it is deleted or anonymized.
How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable security measures, including encryption in transit and single-use access codes for member areas. No website is 100% secure, however — we encourage you to use caution on the internet and to protect access to your email account, since it is the key to your member access.
Third-Party Sites and Tools
Our site links to and works with third-party services, including Stripe and the platforms that host our live sessions. Those services maintain their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live — including California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws — you may have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, the sources from which it was collected, the purposes for which it is used, and the categories of third parties with whom it has been shared. You may also have the right to correct inaccurate information, to request deletion, and to restrict or object to certain processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@signatrain.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” or call (833) 966-9675. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. If an authorized agent submits a request on your behalf, we will ask for your signed authorization.
We will never deny you service, charge you a different rate, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised a privacy right. These rights are not absolute — legal exceptions may apply, and if we cannot comply with a request, we will explain why in writing.
Children
Our site and services are built for working professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the law or our data practices change. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify active subscribers by email.
